    Default Vectra 1.9cdti Xenon Lights

Hi, my passeneger side front indicator has stopped working. I tried to fit a new bulb but it was impossible to get into the unit. After speaking to a vauxhall dealer they said that as it's a xenon directional unit which had to be done via a professional as the bumper and grill needed to be taken off. They took it in (£101.00 ouch) to change the light bumb to discover that there was a fault with the unit itself and that i would need a new head unit which would be £550 plus labour. I cannot believe it's that much!!!! My question is does anyone know where i can get a unit from online? I know someone who could fit it. If not does anyone know whether I could replace both front units for a standard vectra lamps and whether this would be a straight swap for a pro?

    Thanks and Merry Christmas

You can swap them for standard units if you make the necessary changes to the loom and also spend an hour at the stealers having the AFL switched off with Tech 2, still gonna cost you sorry mate.

Without the cost of the new lamps being included, its probably cheaper to have the AFL lamp replaced in the long run.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

It's about a 10 minute job to remove the bumper and headlight, but as Big Sig has said, probably best to look for a complete headlight unit off the likes of ebay for a couple of £00 at the most.

Thanks everyone for your reply. It seems that when it's above 3 degres .I.e before the temprature light comes on it's ok, but as soon ad that light says it's cold, the bulb then stops. Does anyone know a way of getting the light out? How do you remove the bumper? Thanks
