Signum Elite Too Soft

I find my wifes Signum Elite just too soft and floaty.
It's a 2004 3.2 V6 Auto, but had new dampers fitted prior to her buying it.

So a couple of questions guys.
Does the Signum Design use lower springs and stiffer dampers. I had a search and read 15 or 20mm lower? Are they a straight swap over?
Would Vectra SRi parts fit the Signum?

Any other options to consider?

And finally best place to buy?

i got an elite 2 yrs ago wanted the toys. but as you say soft .. when i did have an sri150 before so got some new billy shocks and eibach springs on it lowered it 30mm much better

Yep the signum design uses the sri suspension set up though if you want a good setup then either Bilstein B4 or B6 shocks and the 30mm eibach springs is the way to go

My understanding is that all the Signums have the same suspension as the SRi Vectra-C, ie lowered uprated - there are of course different rates within this according to engine.

Only the Signum Design has the same set up as the Vectra SRI (-15mm), all other Signums have normal ride height spring setups as per the Vectra's.

The 'Design' trim is the Signum's 'sporty' equivalent of the Vectra SRI - hence the lowered/stiffened suspension.

Lowering or Design springs alone isn't really want I'm looking for. That won't cure the floaty nature of the standard shocks.

So then, ideally a set of Signum Design springs and dampers OR even better, Bilstein shocks with Eibach Springs.

I'll keep a look out on here / ebay for the Signum Design parts, is the Vectra SRi parts different?

Also where's the best places to look for the Bilstein set up?

Personally, I think it would be a bit of a 'sidewards' step to fit design dampers and springs. They are a bit 'crashy' and unrefined for my liking.

Bilsteins and eibachs would be more of a forward step (and cheaper if you are comparing new prices) IMO.

Bilsteins can be bought at eurocarparts.
