Exclamation Network Q extension - help!

My Vx warranty runs out in three days time! and the car came with a Network Q warranty when I bought the car - this ran out in June last year.

I never received any sort of extension offer from network Q (like I have in the past) so I rang them up today to find out some info. They told me that to extend it for another 12 months for my car would be £599!!

Now, I know some of you guys got Network Q extensions for a helluva lot less than this? (Figures of £100 spring to mind?) Can you tell me exactly what the extension was and how much it was as this seems a bit ferking expensive.

If they don't budge with the price (he said there was no other option) I'm torn whether to do it or not. But as I intend to keep the car for another year, it'd mean it's piece of mind for all that time - especially with the car having a turbo etc.

I got mine extended to the car been 3 years old with unlimited mileage for £150.

Guess it's cheaper if you do it when you buy.

So at what point did you get that extension? When you bought the car? I was told that it's cheaper to buy the extension before the Vx warranty runs out - which it hasn't yet - and that it's even more expensive to extend it after the Vx warranty has run out.

So did all your extension do is extend it up to the same date as the Vx warranty?

I purchased the NetQ warranty at the same time I got the car which was 6 months old. The NetQ warranty will run to the car been 3 years old, and unlimited mileage.

BUT I am still waiting for Arnie Clarke to provide me with the NetQ certificate, which without this Retailer Gurantee people are telling me the cover is not valied!

As long as you're logged by Network Q, all the repairing dealer has to do is ring Newteork Q and give your reg number - it'll pop up as being covered.

    So, back to my question....

Has anyone extended their Network Q cover beyond the Vx warranty? What were you charged? - same as my first post?

I am sure your correct about not needing the certificate. BUT as it says you need it in the book I am going to hassle Arnie until I get it!!

Nah, it's going to be the date your Vx warranty expires surely? It's which ever comes first - the date or the mileage. The date in your case as it's unlimited mileage.
