    Monday night?
Hatfield to just outside Luton (by the Parkway station) 1 hour 15. Across Luton -another 2 hours, then 40 minutes on foot after I abandoned the car at a relative's house and walked the rest of the way.
Nothing was moving anywhere. I finally cut through the airport, down a service road (where I almost got stuck on a hilly bit, but got through), avoided all the poor souls dragging their luggage along the various roads to try and get to a plane that wasn't going.
I gave up and left the car after almost banging into a car that spun in front of me on a downhill bit. I was pumping the brakes, trying to control the car, and stopped about a foot away from it. My options were take to the country lanes outside the town, sit in traffic, or take the walk home through some back lanes. I checked that I had boots, hat and gloves in the car, then called my wife's aunty and asked if I could leave the car on her drive, hung my laptop bag around my neck and set off for home.
We just can't do snow in this country!

Aylesbury is pretty bad half the main raods could do with being re-done.... and what makes me laugh we had a leaflet come through from the council about 3 weeks ago saying, 'this winter we are prepared' lol. I have seen the gritters out once, its a bit of a joke, and in regards to wycombe area I know a few people have just left there cars the other day near great missenden.
