    Default Windscreen washer jets failed

Still reeling from the power steering fault, i was hoping for a few trouble free months from Siggy.
    It didn't last long

Both front washer jets have stopped working.
Initially i thought the obvious - frozen up, but after running warm water over the nozzles and connecting pipes, im still getting nothing after 3 days.
The motor works, as does the rear window washer jets.
Ive tried attempting to 'wash' the windscreen, to check for fluid leaks under the car from a dis-connected pipe, but ive found nothing as yet.

Has anybody got any idea's, because having to keep pulling over to manually 'wash' the windscreen with a bottle of water is becoming a tad annoying.

    Thanks,
    Scott.

Had this on my Cougar once. All you can do is get the washer reservoir motor out (On the cougar it was from under the car) and get someone to apply the switch. If its spinning then you must have a blockage somewhere either in the reservoir or the tubing..

I bought a new motor for the cougar but once we pulled it all out, I found that it was just gunged up. Hope that helps sort it.

There is a small filter on the pump at the reservoir , this is prone to blocking in this weather. Need to access it from under bumper/wheel arch area on the passenger front. On my last vec-c removed the small filter altogether

Most common causes are using cheap screenwash , no screenwash or washing up liquid in the reservoir

    Cheers for the replies

How hard is it to get to the pump?
Are we talking, wheel off - arch liner out.........?

Yes, you will have a lot more room if you remove the wheel arch liner.

Leave the wheel on.. jack upthe car, wheel full lock to the right, remove teh 3 torx screws, pull the arch liner back,to gain access to the pump..remove the pump andclogged filter replace all done..simples.. no point getting to involved for a simple job.
