Are those illegal in the UK?

Just a quick input on this being a copper myself (ahem.. yes no remarks lol)
They are 100% legal to use on UK roads.
GPS Sat Nav's etc all show you camera positions and posted speed limits, and cameras themselves are legally shown in high vis to make motorists aware of their presence.
The home office believes these "Snoopers" fall in line with the governments policy to ensure that camera sites are visible and conspicuous to drivers, and so help deter excessive and inappropriate speeds on the roads.
So to answer your question yes they're legal.

Interestingly, on this subject.....

The night time camera's and "trulevo" camera's use an infrared flash which is invisible to the naked eye.....
If you wired up enough IR LED's to somewhere near your numberplate, you could in theory flood the camera with infrared

And before anyone says "it's been tried on Myth busters", what they actually did was try to confuse a laser speed gun using infrared.... Which obviously failed!


Anyhow, radar/laser detection isn't illegal.... They tried to make it illegal and failed miserably.

My Snooper has a laser detector as well as a fixed camera detector, and in 5 years it has never detected a laser. If it had've done, I would have been zapped anyway.
