    Default Signum Test Drive!

So today I'm going for a little trip west to check out a Signum 2.0T.

Anyone got any advice on what I need to look for?

    It's done just over 40k miles and it's a 56 plate.

Are there any specific problems with this engine to look at? Or anything specific to the Signum?

No major problems with the 2.0T at all, Just check for the usual broken springs, rear discs and pads. I dont really think there is much else to worry about.

As already said, not alot to look for, the 2.0T is pretty bullet proof.

But if you buy it, it is well worth paying for an hours labour at your dealer to have a full software check and update.

one thing to check - that you have applied sufficient chap stick to your lips so that they dont crack from the grin you get when you drive it =
a highly underated car imho - but then again as i drive one i would be biased

    as above springs
    - boot release (can stick / jam)
the rear seats fold /work correctly
water in the front foglights (can be used to barter money off) snorkle kit available from vx

let us know what you think

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

It's a Vx mod to stop water from getting into the fogs as they have a tendency to let water in.

Check the exhaust, A Vauxhall exhaust for the 2.0T is almost 1k, you can get a performance exhaust for 350. Might be worth seeing if it blowing you can then negotiate using the Vauxhall prices and put a performance exhaust of for 1/3 the price!
