    Default Radio Removal

    Hi All

Just bought a 08 plate sri 150 cdti
Does any one know if vauxhall have fixed the issue that when you change the radio it throws a fault code on the dash.
I had this problem with my 05 plate one but just wondered if i am going to have to pay vaux £50 again to turn off fault code light from where i have changed the radio

    Thanks

buy yourself a code reader from Ebay mate, paid £30 for mine, reads all codes and you can delete them if needed. HTH

They can be a pain but all you can do is try stereo pins and if it's still sticking in there remove blank switch cover's and try and lever it out a bit

I'm sure I'll get there somehow! As long as I don't damage the surrounding plastic I'm not too bothered.

I've got these... my bits of plastic already have slight damage from pre owners, no plans to take the radio out but you never know...

Jam in and pull, some need a bit of a wiggle

    Keith,
The vauxhall ones are easier to get out than some other makes i have had the privilege to work on. just push the two keys in and pull apart adn pull out at the same time. the hardest bit is getting the cage out after you have removed the radio as its a big metal box. just unclip the plug from the back of the box and away you go.

    Cheers
