    Default AVATAR - the film

    So has anyone been yet??

went and saw it Friday = wow what a film
wont post up any spoilers but the 3D is not a poke in the eye sort of film but a depth of view and perspective .. is just unbelieveable to watch

at a tad under 3 hours long - it flew by no real boring bits and the CGI is so impressive you have a hard time remebering that most of the scenery and craft and even the Navi are indeed not there and not real

James Cameron may be a beast master as a director but as a visionary in the film industry = he gets my vote - all i can say is if your not sure or even not a fan of 3D or SCFI - i cant think of a better way to spend 3 hours rather than stuck outside traipsing around in the cold and snow

BUT, is there a good story and realistic plot progression and characters who are believable and credible? These things come way ahead of CGI, SFX etc to me. You can't replace a good storyline with effects etc.

i saw it last night at the new odeon IMAX cinema at the Metro Centre at newcastle Really loved the film and the quality was amazing! Would really recomend seeing it at an IMAX Cinema!

Only thing is tickets are quite expensive, they tried to charge me £10 a ticket. But with student cards i got 2 tickets for £13.
