    Default Advice on brickwork

Any brickies help me out here? I had a conservatory built by a reputable company and have complained about the bricks not matching my house, different colours and general quality and have been told it is fine and pretty much I,m being fussy. Anyone give me a professional opinion and I,m aware bricks can,t always be guranteed to match but when you have a pattern that EVERYONE comments on its bit of a joke!

I,ve paid half and got the remainder to pay (7.5k) Its not just the fact witht he bricks there are a whole load of probs but they will fix the rest apart from the bricks and that was and still is an area we are not happy with.

Just wondered from another bricklayer does this work look acceptable? I had a porch built earlier this year and the bricks are indentical, brick work is perfect and it looks like it has been part of the house for the 30years it has been built the conservatory however looks a mismatch of pink and red bricks outside and arn,t even the same brick!

why wait until its finished - the brick base is usually done first and you have a few days before frames go up. If the bricks are not right you would need to complain on day 1 of the base build.

    hi m8
how old is your house as the older bricks dont allways match but can get very close
the corner is a total mess and they should have used proper corner bricks for that.
the joints are far to big and stand out to much.
dont pay untill all is sorted and you are reasonably happy.

where do you live m8 as i am in wisbech
