    Default turbo trouble

im sure my turbo is playing up some times theres a boost and sometimes not, and im only getting around 30-35mpg sort journeys tho and i dont drive the car hard, ive hurd about the pipes, that thwy can split is it the pipe that goes into the engine by the boost sensor???? boost sensor is clean BTW also would a split pipe put it in limp mode or not?

Mine when i start it up takes a while for boost to kick in properly i have been told this is due to a safety feature ensuring the turbo gets enough oil up into it (not sure if its true or not) but when it is going it takes it up to near 18-20rpm before turbo kicks in and its not brilliant remember its only a 100bhp so it wont win any races lol

Someone may no different but i have all ways been told not to rev the arse off it from cold start as it will knacker the turbo, but i was told there's a safety measure not sure what it was or how it works but for at least 10mins of driving i don't have a lot of boost, sometimes it feels like it wants to but then holds it back.
But after that i have boost like you said

The whole engine not just the turbo bud, better to let the oil warm up and get round the engine before ragging it
