Adjusting the Auto-Dipping Interior Mirror?

I have recently upgraded to a 56 plate 2.2 Direct Elite Estate from a 99T 1.6 16v LS Vectra B Hatch (211k miles - and I previously had a 91H 1.6 Cavalier Hatch 220k), I'm still getting to know the car, but I can't fathom how to adjust the interior rear view mirror which is the auto-dipping variety.
There doesn't seem to be any way of swivelling it left/right, or up/down to suit my seat position.
I'm scared of breaking it off its mounting as I once did test driving an Omega Elite Estate
Can anyone offer advice please?

not sure if the mirror is motorised in the elite mate. i have auto dim in a sri but you just manually move it

Should just move mate - try some WD40 on it and give it a nudge...

I was the same when I got my vec, the mirrror didn't want to budge,I thought **** it and give it a tug and its been fine since

I have a 2.2 Elite and my auto dim mirror is manual. HTH
