    Default Vectra sri 2.2 petrol

Was thinking of changing the cdti to a 3.2 gsi but after seeing the new tax prices for next year i have scrapped that idea!!!
Anyway, now looking at the 2.2 engine.
Whats this like for reliability and power etc.
I want to stay away from the turbo varients.

The new tax prices, upper band of £400 etc only effect cars built after march 2005, so a Gsi would only be £245 a year I think, same as a 2.0t? Might be wrong, have a look on autotrader, it's all listed on there.

Stay away from the 2.2 direct mate. For reliabilaty the 2.0T is hard to beat.

This link is from Direct.gov. Have I read it right?
    GSI is band L.

Look at band k with the astrix. Cars already registered before 23 march 2006 with a co2 of higher than 226 fit into band k.

Inlet manifold and HP fuel pump. The pump is a case of when it happens not if, and were not talking just a couple of hundred quid.
If its the older 2.2 like mine then its just a case of looking after the chain, if thats all right then its ultra reliable just like the 2.0T

Gsi is 235(manual trans) CO2 (g/km) so does not come into this bracket

Yes but they were all registered before 2006 so fit into the k bracket.
