    Default im back...

Im back, sort of. No home connection yet (late this week aparantly).

House move went ok, all the money exchanging etc was last minute as usual but we are in our new house. Garage is full of boxes at the minute till my shed arrives in 2 weeks and I can clear it out and get my car in.

My arms are hanging off from the number of flat pack furniture, toilet roll holders, wall cupboards, shelfs, curtains, blinds etc that ive been putting up and we are still to arrange for a tiler to tile our kitchen floor. I thought buying a brand new house would be the easy option… its not. Its amazing the work you’ve got to do to make it habitable. (they don’t even fix a TV ariel for you but leave the coax bundled up in the loft space!)

Moving from a first floor flat to a large new turfed garden is nice. Whats not nice is the constant watering it needs, or the dust that’s on the site (its still a building site until next year).

But we had a nice cosy BBQ last night while sat in the evening sun and it all felt worthwhile

Welcome to the fun and joys of having a new build! We too had to get a TV aeriel, couldn't work out why the telly needed tuning in at first!!

On the upside though, You're the first person to use the toilet, bath, kitchen and gerden, it's a blank canvas for decorating and if you have any issues at all with the house, they'll be sorted straight away!

We moved out of our new build into a bigger house 18 months ago. I still miss it so much. Altough it was smaller, the use of space was so so much better.

    Enjoy it!!

its a popular misconception that when you buy a new build , you wont need to do any work to it! nothing could be further from the truth, i bought mine over 4 years ago and am still getting it to the way i want it. mind you having a wife who constantly changes her jmind about things doesnt help!
