Default Drive a Diesel & Not Got Cruise Control ?

    Did you know ?

If you have a diesel and you do not have Cruise Control and you would like to have Cruise Control, you can and not for too much cash!!!

As diesels are drive by wire, all the eltronics and connections are already built into the car. All you need to do is replace the indicator stalk with one that has Cruise Control switches built in.

The extra plug that connects the Cruise Control is waiting just under the steering wheel cowling.

Should cost a mere £30 'ish from your local VX Dealer.

Anyone know if you can do that to an Omega CD model petrol, my mate wanted to do it a while back, I thought the Omegas had a dedicated box for it under the hood so i told him it would be a lot more than just replacing the stalk.

But in light of this I might be wrong, it's a 2001 model btw.

Drove a 2006(facelift) LS/Life last week at had CC
every vec c i have seen (see a few of them when u work in a vx dealer) has CC

With the canbus system on the Astra H and Vectra C CC will need to be activated by tech2

VauxVeteran what engine is in the omega? there is a slim chance it has a "drive by wire" engine in....so stalk and clutch switch and your away with CC

Dont worry about the Omega thing, I've found out i was right and it does have a different CC system, he asked a Vx dealer who recommended a specialist who told him it would cost loads and is more than just a stalk upgrade.
