    Default Confused re. thermostat

Hi all,to be honest i've never considered my thermostat sitting at 75 to be a problem BUT after reading various threads am now confused...

Shes a 2 litre turbo with BSR stage 1 and a stainless cat back exhaust. Runs sweet as a nut and the heater keeps me nice and toasty. However should the thermostat be higher?

And why? Is it a problem? Could this be why i onlyget about 25mpg or is that a simple effect ofmy heavy foot and the mods??

    Anyone done a 'how to'?....

yeah, basically if the coolant isnt up to the required temperature the sensors wont be telling the ECU that the engine is warmed up properly. As a result of this, more fuel will be added to the mixture to compensate ( cold engines need more fuel initially )

that probably means "fully open" at 92. which is about right.
