Hi All. Just bought a 2003 Vectra V6 CDXi, badged Holden here in Australia. It is the 5 speed auto, top of the range. Lovely car. I am hoping for advice about some occasional knocking or clunking noises from the undercarriage. It is intermittent. Seems more noticeable at low speed. Generally rides bumps silently, but occasionally get theses knocking sounds. Will appreciate any advice.

No worries Mitch, I'll take some pics soon and post them. It is gorgeous. Shiny silver. Looks brand spankers. 115,000 km on the clock. I think I have the knocking/clunking sorted too, by the way. I am loving this forum already. The consensus is that it is the rear anti roll bar, and the bushes that hold it in place, where it is is bolted to the sub-frame. The bar gets a bit worn from rubbing to and fro in the bushes. The fix, apparently, is to take the bushes off, wind some tape around the bar to make a snugger fit, then simply clean and refit the bushes (or fit new ones - hardly a high-cost item).
