Lightbulb Zafira 17" fit a Siggy 56 plate?

    Hi Peeps,

Considering junking the standard PITA 17" (i.e. 215/50 17) Siggy wheels for some 17" Zafira's (225/45 17) as my tyres are shot and I'm sick of paying top dollar for a poor choice of tyres.

Will these wheels fit? They are genuine Vauxhall alloys as fitted to Zafiras and the later Astra Mk5 Sri's/Gsi's/Turbo's. They are 7"J X 17" with an offset of ET39

Thanks in advance for any help.

Why not just fit 225/45-17 tyres to your existing rims as your tyres are already shot?

I'll tell you why - cos a friend who runs a tyre firm says whilst you "can" fit these tyres, its not advisable.

Plus there may be insurance ramifications - hence considering other stock VX rims......

Well the tyre size is listed in VX'a hand book as an alternative size, many members have fitted these tyres (including me) and have suffered no ill effects.

I sold my last lot of 18" multispokes to a guy on ebay who fitted them to a Zafira. So I would say yes.

I just had 2 x 2nd's 225 x 50 x 17 fitted to my siggy. Cost me £50 balanced and fitted. The tyres still have 7mm tread on them and they are Conti Contact Sport 2's. Car handles like a dream.
