    Default 1.8 petro/lpg running cold

My first vectra LPG and so far done loads of miles in it.

    2 Questions.

The Temp gauge sits firmly at the bottom, the heater inside gives out very little heat. If I sit in slow traffic or dont move anywhere the Gauge comes upto 2nd mark. The heater works great at this point but as soon as I start to move again the gauge quickly drops back to nothing and the heater goes cold.

Would I be right in thinking the Thermostate is faulty ?

    If so is it costly?

    Thanks all.

About £40 for the part as it includes the housing. IIRC about 3 bolts, top left of the engine when you open the bonnet. Don't forget the new coolant, should help your MPG too.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Ive just priced up a stat for my LPG 1.8, an aftermarket one was over 50 quid, but firstline sell the stat insert which just replaces the actual statand is about 8 quid. the firstline part number is FTK063. a lot of spare parts places deal with firstline. i have the same problem on mine, hoping to do the stat in the next few days.
