    Default How can I check the area of potential house I want to buy?

    Ad above, Im looking for a hosue and have seen some locations but have seen some dodgy stories. So is there any way I can find out what the area is like before I make offer or express my Interested? I have done the usual and had a walks around, etc!

    Not sure really, ive often thought this. Bit cheeky I guess, but you could ask neighbouring properties ?

    Or do some drive by's at different times ??

    Driving by at different times is essential.... Your new neighbours could be saint until 11pm when the all night parties start.

    Also check the council website for any planning permission disputes, the last thing you need is moaning neighbours when your trying to put up a new shed! (or do anything for that matter).

    Good advice. I think you can tell a lot by the neighbourhood by the cars parked on the drive / road.
    Make sure you visit at different times, both weekdays and weekends, AM and PM.
