Lightbulb Photoshop'd LED Dash Plan (4 large pics)

What do you guys think of this idea for a dash conversion?
Pics taken from my car and then crudely changed in paint to how I think looks nice.

What do you guys think, too tacky, spot on, needs work or just average?

Although I voted 'too tacky' I should explain that's due to there being no option for 'too bright'.
When you're looking at the display in the dark, you're using mainly the rods on your retinas - the less light sensitive part.
When you look out at the road, the display light will mainly hit your cones - the more light sensitive part.
Hence with standard dash lighting at night, you can look at the dash and the main beam lamp doesn't look to bad.... then you look out the screen and there's a damn bright blue light in the bottom of your field of vision.
Sadly, cranking down the dash illumination level doesn't dim the warning lamps, only the backlighting. And the way I understand it, with LED dashlights you can't dim them at all (or I'd have swapped to them ages ago).

One man's opinion - but it's not my car in question.

Actually rods are more light sensitive - but not to colour.

The rods are more numerous of the photoreceptors, some 120 million, and are the more sensitive than the cones. However, they are not sensitive to color. They are responsible for our dark-adapted, or scotopic, vision. The rods are incredibly efficient photoreceptors. More than one thousand times as sensitive as the cones, they can reportedly be triggered by individual photons under optimal conditions. The optimum dark-adapted vision is obtained only after a considerable period of darkness, say 30 minutes or longer, because the rod adaption process is much slower than that of the cones.

I don't like the 'blue LED look' and it seems lots of people do this standard conversion.

I can dim my dash LED's

I think the colours you've chosen in the pics look a tad cold for my liking.
