    Default Vectra C 3.2 GSI

    Are there any common faults with this model compared to the cdti diesels?

    Compared to the CDTi's they are perfect!

    Some do have a DMF which is common on most models/engines
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Well I am seriously thinking of changing my Cdti 150 for a GSI.
    I have owned two V6 mondeos and they never skipped a beat but could never afford the V6 Veccy so gonna look into it and see what is about.
    Not fussed on the un-reliability of these turbo engines!

    The only real problem is oil leaks, check its bone dry around the oil pump area especially.

    the early ones have more toys, you can get a good one for 3-3.5k
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Auto boxes seam to have a few problems but the V6 itself is bullet proof.

    What year did the GSI have the 6-speed munual box fitted?
    Just read a review that slates the 5-speed on earlier models.

    never fitted with a 6 speeder mate,all were 5 speed only.

    also watch out 4 cam houseing gsks leaking,other wise if proply looked after they are very good

    That's IF the oil has been changed regularly, the oil breathers have been cleaned out (if they haven't, the rocker cover gaskets will blow), and the belt has been changed at 40k or less.
