Smile '07 Vectra Estate 2.2 Direct in Denmark

    Hello Everyone

Having lurked around for a while, I'd better put a new post in here.. sry for not haing a pic here yet, snow is all over the place...

We purchased our Veccy in August with only 12k miles on the clock.

It's in Metro Blue, std. 5 spoke design steel rims (I'm too lazy to clean the alloys...), tinted rear, heated seats, 4x power windows, additional seat adjustment,

I've already started modding it, but adding the thick VXR steering wheel, some boot organisers, next up is original bluetooth, and VXR gear lever, and a color display.
Also on wish list is front and rear PDC, darkend front and rear lights, original front spoiler skirts and irmsher rear spoiler and dual exhaust, also got an auto dimming rear mirror lying on the shelf...

I'm the nut who wants everything to look original and clean, so original or clandestine installations only....

    Problems so far:
-gear lever rattle in 3rd gear, retified by re-adjustment and new cables.
    -the normal swirl valve replacement

Other than that we're quite pleased. I usually manage to keep mileage above 34ish pr tank of petrol. Considering my daily commute is 2x 10 miles, with the occational longer trip during the weekends I'm quite happy. Higest so far was a 1 hour trip @~50mph avg, where it did 46.5mpg...

What do I do for a living? Well, I work with engines. Spent 10 years developing diesel engines, so engines and car technology have my interest!
I'm also in '50 US cars, hence the name...

And then UK has just been my home for the last 12 months, where I and my family lived just outside Swindon....
Watching a UK TV series or film, just feels so much like.......home....

Anyways, looking forward to being part of the gang here!

    Talk to you all later!

    Bjarne

    Dez,
sry no. The smallest engine I worked on was 5 cyl. 680 hp, and the one I project managed the development on was 1,300 to 2,700 hp, with the larger one putting out some 15,700 lb.ft of torque (~21,300 Nm)....
