Default Oil fired central heating - bunded tank

My mates mother has oil fired central heating in her home and her fairly old 1500 litre steel oil tank has developed a leak.

As it is quite old, replacement would probably be the best option.

The question is, because she lives near to a stream she needs a bunded tank (I don't know if all domestic heating oil tanks needs bunding)

Now, is it necessary to get a self contained tank with integral bunding, or can you still have an external open bunding underneath the tank (ie concrete base with wall around?)
She lives in Derbyshire (if that is relevant).

    Cheers

    Hi Ste,

    hopefully this should help ....

I would have thought that providing the tank meets/exceeds The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001 that it would be fine
