The search function not working?
not got the car yet, picking it up in the new year. did try the search but could not find an answer
I have a 58 1.9 sri 150 and it doesn't have tc, you can't floor it unless the wheels are pointing dead straight, otherwise you''ll just spin the wheels, all the way up to about 60 mph, so frustrating all that power and nearly impossible to put it all down.
My last vectra had the same problem, that was a life 1.9td, until i stuck a decent set of michelins on it, then a lot of the understeer disapeered and i had so much more front end. Vauxhall do themself no favours with the goodyears they bolt on. It'd stop a lot the car reviewers moaning about vauxhalls understeer
Want to wack michelins on this one, just the wallet can't take it at the mo.
N.b Years ago i had cavalier gls, again understeer like good un, and again michelins, anyway i was trading it in and as the tyre weren't worn, i let my brother in law swap them for his warn out firestone, anyway with his warn out firestones a lot of the understeer disapeared.
I had assumed that SRI was a top spec model but its looking like thats not the case. Just noticed its not even got elec rear windows . But does look the best model!
The elite is the top spec & looks as good as the sri with the xp kit
Sri is just about mid range.
