ive been told about doing a k&n panal change and a remap. maybe 3-4bhp from the filter and someone said the other day for the remap 10 - 30 bhp. i didnt think that was to bad of an for cheap startin points....

There are various Remaps out there but if you decide to get one go for one that is known and trusted. I have a Regal EDS Remap and I opted to have the hardware to add / remove / change remaps as often as I like.
This remap is also good for my car as I have a DPF with mine being a automatic and it now does a regen every 1000 miles or so. I can also choose to have the EGR Valve running or not and have a choice to have 150 std, 190 , 200 bhp settings and I have chosen the 200 with EGR valve.
Other Remaps are BSR and these have a good name but I cant comment on it as I dont have it. Another remap is Angel Tuning I think but once again I cant comment on its features.

Tuning box's do offer good powergains, but they could be problematic later, as they just increase fuel pressure the side effect is long term soot build up which we know can cause other issues.

Save you cash and get a decent re-map.
