wierd problem

Hi guys, lately the car has been having a few problems.

1st of all i tried to plug the laptop into the car and use the Op com program to read the codes, but as soon as i put the program on it says cannot read the ecu, however it reads all the other cars i have tried bar mine.
even tried a different op com program from someone else but it just will not read the blooming car.

the car will drive as normal for so long and then all of a sudden it will just not respond with the accelerator, but sometimes if i dip the clutch and then release it again then it will work again,
other times it happens and the car completely dies and i have to restart the engine again.

any ideas on this or has anyone else had this happen?

The car is a 1.9 cdti (150) vectra 04 plate.

Have you tried having a pay with the Diag port, just wiggle it about, it may just have a loose connection??

Mine reads that message when I forget to put the ignition on!

tried all the wiggling, its since i put the latest update on for the opcom it stopped working, going to look into reverting back to the previous version i think.
