    Default Finished painting my calipers......

After getting the fronts done at PVS, I finished the look by doing the rears today....

Leaving the wheels off for as long as I can for it to harden as much as possible before I put the spring clips back on again - don't want to gouge off any paint!

Looks good Duncan, you gonna find some decals to go on and finish them off, or you going for that 'all over debadged' look?

Yes m8 - waiting for that guy to get back with pics of the (front) calipers (just to check they're in good nick).

My rear discs are already the biggest size i.e. the same size as the GSi and 3.0 CDTi so I only need to do the fronts.

Cheers. Think I'm sticking with the 'debadged' look - no decals.

I bought the Foliatec kit and it comes with an aerosol can of brake cleaner. This in conjunction with a good bit of old fashioned elbow grease with a wire brush soon has them clean. I also used a compressed air aerosol (use them in photography) to blast away all the loose crud that the brushing generates - works a treat!

I'm upgrading my 302mm fronts to 314mm fronts to get a bit more stopping power - not that it was lacking as it was! I believe drilled and grooved discs reduce the power a bit? I'd rather have the extra stopping power and forego the looks (unless I'm wrong about what I've just said?)
