    Default Misty shine?

Guys i got my car back from the bodyshop had the drivers side painted and the back end was also painted when i got it back i put it in my garage for a week to give it a good detail i washed it with poorboys suds then used autoglym srp then a coat of blackhole, after that i put 7 coats of nattys paste wax on and it looks stunning. On sat i washed it again i snowfoamed it then hand washed with poorboys suds and was looking ace again apart from the drivers side which still has a lovely shine but the reflections on the paint kinda looks cloudy compared to the rest of the car really hard to explain paint almost looks flat like a matt finish but with a shine lol if that makes any sense. So would a buff with a machine polisher and cutting compound then a polish and wax sort this or will it need to go back to the body shop as i fear that the body shop will fob me off as it prob wouldnt be that noticable its just me being anal any ideas would be great guys cheers.

Yes it was the side that was painted thats looking a bit dodgy. It was four days after i got it back and it was painted on the thursday and i got it back on monday so it was 8 or nine days after the paint job was done that it was polished.Well the garage was nice and warm so every time the missus started nagging i went out to garage and waxed it lol prob was a bit OTT but its never looked so good three weeks or so scince it was done and still has a wet looking shine to it.

Either overspray, or in this cold whether you may have took the edge off the laquer (i assume its metalic). How long was it baked for and how long after did you wax it? I wouldn't have waxed it for about 3-4 weeks in these temperatures, just a bucket of water tipped over it every time i used it to keep the salt off it.

I did exactly the same with mine last year. Looked brill, I waxed it (10 days later) and it took the shine off....

It was polished and waxed in a heated garage where it stayed for around a week.Dont know how long it was baked for bud but it was the lad that painted it who dropped it off and i did ask him if it was ok to polish and wax and he said itd be no problem so i took his word for it?It looked spot on until i foamed and washed it?
