Default Thinking of trying something different...

I'm refering to wheels, Don't want/cant afford a set of snowies or genuine VXR 19's

Looking at other manufactures, Mercs have a bore size only 1.5mm larger than my vec, being 5x112 they should go on with wobble bolts. Also most large merc wheels are 8.5j front and 9.5j rear, this would look good at the rear... no?

    Thoughts?

Simple 5 spoke design, nothing to fancy.

Ive got Mercedes wheels on my vec.

wider rears will look great, i want to get a pair of wider wheels for mine, but cant find any.

with audi and vw wheels u have to check the centre bore as its usually smaller than the vec and will need enlarging.

Lets have a large pic up then...

Merc ones go straight on then? did you have to use a spigot to centre them?

yeah i needed to use a spigot to center them. I got the thinnest plastic spigot i could find which was 65.1 - 67 and then slowly tighened the wheel over the spigot, this squashed the spigot to the size of the wheel bore, after the first time the wheel can just go on as normal as the spigot keeps the squashed shape. ive had no problems with mine.
or you could get some spigots machined to the correct size.

I like the rims but not the red rim.... overall it looks good though. Plain boring silver for me.
