1.8 non vvt idle

just wondered what you guys get at idle after the engine is warmed up?
Im on about 600 ish rpm.. just wondered if it was a little low? That said, it doesnt seem unhappy.

i have the 1.8 vvt and its around 600- 700 ish so it sound ok to me but im no expert lol

The X18XE1 (non VVT) had several different isle speeds the lowest was 600rpm.

i see it has the R instead of the 1. that may come in handy when lookin to work on power gains. thank u

The X18XE1 was the predecessor of the Z18XE - the 1.8VVT came after both.

The X18XE1 and X18XE were both 1.8s but completely different as the former is smallblock while the latter is bigblock.

no worries bud, its very easy to get them muddled as the engine codes are all similar.
There is an X18XE1 but that was in the vec b.

oh erm now im losed about what my engine is. it is a 1.8 vvt 56 plate sri, any ideas. sorry for stealing the thread johnsav...

i would of said yes as i think the vvts' came in around 2005 55
