Clicking Noise From My Headlight

Hi Guys


Can anyone help me I have got a funny clicking noise coming from my driver’s side headlight on my 53 plate Vectra any ideas? The noise is there as soon as I turn the ignition on before I even start the car. The only thing I have noticed is the height adjust on the headlight does not appear to work anymore. Any ideas would be appreciated.

sounds like the headlamp adjuster has siezed or has some teeth missing

are your lights self levelling - sounds like this one is struggling to complete the task

No they are not self leveling.
They seem to be really low as if they where pointing right at the floor!

even though there not self levelling they do still have an elecronic control operated by the wheel on the dash - it may be that the controller for that light has become weak and lazy -

When I go on a journey it stops clicking after the first min or two. Any ideas how to check what is wrong and possibly fix it or is it a job for the dealer?

Try using the level adjuster in the car and see if the level changes on both. if not the motors are not too hard to replace
