    Default Vectra VXR

Ok lads bare with me here. I am really thinking about this Vectra VXR

    07 plate
    41,000 miles with FVSH
    280bhp version
    Sat Nav
    BlueTooth
    Rear Parking sensors
    19" Alloys.

Doesnt come with AFL though will this make a big difference (does this mean the lights on the car look like candles, and not the super bright ones?)

Also, how much does it cost to fill the tank, or what is the litre capacity sorry (55 litres i was thinking)

    I know road tax is £405 a year - Steep i know.

I do roughly 50 miles a day all motorway, where the VXR would be a treat but what am i likely to get in return mpg wise.

Now i know am going from a Diesel to a 2.8 V6 petrol. But am just looking for as much information as i can gather.

Any help i really do appreciate guys.

HID kits are always advisable, cheap and easy to fit for brilliant light output! I also think the MPG shouldn't really be observed in VXR's, probably looking about the 25 MPG mark, which isn't too bad considering I only manage to get that in my 2.2 petrol, though it'll be a big drop from your diesel!

I would of thought that 50 miles would be close to 2 gallons but well worth the smile. You would have to do the opposite type of modd to it, while some turn there CDTI's to VXR's turn this into a standard cdti sri. Imagine the fun you could have blowing away all the BMW / Audi toffs

You dont need to buy HIDS for a VXR because they come with HIDS as standard. AFL is just the technology that allows the headlights to turn slightly with the steering. Not having AFL will not detract from the intensity of the headlamps at all. So to answer your Q. Yes, you will have the bright lights you see on other vectras, and other high end marques too.

The best i had out of my VXR is about 36.7 IIRC. Least I've had was 16. The norm is about 25. You will go through a fair few tankfuls believe me, plus mine is remapped so I have to use 99ron, and that is about 112 per litre at present

I was thinking that, I thought all new models especially the VXR come with standard xenon's!
