    Default Drivers / Driving Conditions

This is a fog related rant really, its been pretty thick up here all day and to say some drivers have annoyed / scared me is an understatement.

    1) Why does nobody know how to use their fog lights? If there is a car behind you, switch it off. They are close enough to see your normal lights and all that you are achieving is a serious distraction!

    2) I was out in the 7.5t today and was turning right on a 70mph dual carriageway. It was daylight but thick fog. I spotted a cars lights but were far enough away for me to cross the 2 lanes. Pulled out and heard a screech - there was a car coming with NO lights on. No contact but **** it was close. Who would have been in the wrong there?!

    3) Matrix signs. The fog was so thick that vision was less than 100 yards. Why is it necessary to have a matrix sign saying 'CAUTION: FOG' ?!??

    /Rant

    Just needed to vent.

    1) If it's foggy, ie visibility less than 100 metres, rear foglight(s) should be used continuously - if drivers behind are so close to your tail that they're being dazzled then THEY are too close.

    2) Far too many drivers don't bother putting their lights on unless they can see better - why is the concept of "being seen by other drivers" too difficult to grasp.

    3) Because too many drivers can't judge distance so can't tell if it's foggy or just misty.

I always put my lights on no matter what time or conditions.

I love the matrix signs that say caution heavy traffic ahead.. And your sitting right in the middle of a jam.

Or the 60 and 50 signs they pop up when your sitting at roughly 30ish! makes me smile

The idiots that drive with no lights, simply don't think..... Because they can see the speedo, it just doesn't register with them to put the lights on.
Those who do it in the dark are just stupid.

Also what annoys me are the people who put them on when its way over 100 meters visability, however then also drive for weeks with them still on!
