    Default rear fog lights fuse

for some reason my rear fogs wont come on its not the bulbs
i fitted lexus style rear lights and ever since the fogs are not coming on.

i also get the check rear fog lights in the dash screen

does anyone know where the fuse is or anything else it could be ??

    Have you modified the wiring?
If not, then examine the offside bulb and replace with a new bulb

    Beaten to it, but anyway...

The bulb check works by running a small current through the bulbs that it monitors. When it indicates that a bulb has failed, it either means that the bulb will probably fail soon (it must be sensitive enough to pick up the filament starting to go), or that the circuit is open - i.e. the bulb has already failed, there is no bulb fitted, or there's a wiring problem.

I haven't had a fuse blow so I don't know if that would cause a bulb failure warning. Does the manual say which fuse is for the fog lights?

If there is a seperate rear fog light fuse, could you have shorted the circuit out and so blown the fuse accidentally when fitting the new lights?

Also, did the new lights come with a bulb holder or did you use the existing one? If it is new, check that the wiring is OK with a circuit tester - disconnect the car's wiring then put the circuit tester on the fog light terminal and negative terminal and you should get a circuit as long as there's a good bulb fitted.

and plug them in. bit funny how both the fog lights dont work that why i thought it must be the fuse

Try the original light clusters. If the rear O/S fog works again, then it's the Lexus style clusters that's the problem.

It's probably taken offence to them being so ugly...
