Hi All,

I'm a new member, and have recently bought a Vectra SRI 2.2 Direct. I am going to give it an oil change and wondered what the recommended oil was for that engine. Any suggestions?

You can use 10w.40 as well in pre facelift cars.

you can.. but only if u change the oil at around the half way mark of the service schedule...

5-30 is the way to go

As I service my cars every year without fail (only do around 7-8000 miles) would it be worth using 10w40 semi oil as i have heard it can make the engine quieter.
Is this true?

I recently got 10 litres of 5/30 and two filters for £25.00 at a local car factors..C.E.S. ...WORKS FOR ME
