    Default intalled dab for cdc40

Wheyyyy i have installed the dab unit for the cdc 40 works great just one little thing, the display keeps flashing safe and a bleep sounding. does that mean i have to get it tech '2' d'? any ideas how much that would cost?

i thought safe just meant that you had to input the radio code from the handbook. May be wrong though, just with my car it you disconnect the battery the radio needs to have its code put back in. There is a method for doing it which should be in the handbook.

    Default cdc40 Audio manual

just wondered if anyone has the handbook for the cdc40 radio because i have just called vauxhall and they said it should be in the manual about connecting dab? but i havent got one because i have changed the radio and screen and put a complete dab setup in which is the gid display, cdc40 (BOTH PARED) and what i think is a new dab unit which keeps flashing safe and a beep sounding every 3-5 seconds. just wondered if anyone has any idea what to do? or just to call back to them and book it in.

IIRC if both HU and GID were paired and you have fitted a dab unit then i think the dab unit need's pairing to match the HU+GID

the display keeps flashing safe and a bleep sounding

This means that the DAB is still in delivery mode...it needs to be Tech 2 programmed (paired / married or whatever you want to call it) to match up with the head unit and display.

If the SAFE had been fixed (not flashing and beeping / pinging) then it would have been paired to a different radio, and you would have been pickled.

I'm affraid it is a book it in for programming job, however a lot of Vauxhall service personnel know very little about Tech 2!...and will come up with some lame excuse why they can't get it to program in.
