Rain sensitive wipers

to put it bluntly thier doing my ED in, is thier any way of disabling them and making it into intermittant wipe?

yep, you can either disconnect the sensor (may effect auto lights if you have them) or disable them in tech2. What's up with them then? mine work fine.

Let me guess, wiping when windscreen is dry and not when its pouring down.

Really annoying although the thing I really hate is the when you use the washers, why do all vx have to wipe the windscreen 4 times, you have to use half a bottle to protect the blades.

yea thats about it gazza a light spitting of rain that one sweep would clear and they go into hypo mode like they need to clean every single little rain drop off and leave the screen SQUEEKY clean

sorry i dragged this topic up again i should have searched first as it seems i'm not alone in the int/ wiper rant i will get the hang of forums eventually lol

That your wiper motor. I had this problem and changed wiper motor and worked ok. With the rain sensor not working in intermitant mode the wiper would go beserk. replaced wiper motor and linkage now works fine.

Yep disconnect the sensore behind the rear view mirror, start the car and jobs a good one

Did this on friday - probly the most rewarding mod i've done so far

I didn't even know the car had rain sensitive wipers!! - i just thought the intermittent was in a little world of it's own

Hi sorry to Hijack this thread, if you do get the rain senstive wipers disabled is the setting wheel still used to control the time of delay or is it just standard intermittant
my wiper motor and linkage has been replaced, and while the sensative wipers are ok, when it comes to heavy rain they dont work that well, it will start wiping and then all of a sudden decide the rain isnt as heavy as it i was and increase the delays inbetween wipes

If you disconnect the sensor, do you lose the auto-dimming rear view mirros or auto-lights?
