    Default first cam belt changed

as above. I had my cam belt changed for the first time as I the car has 50000 miles on it now and is 6 year old. While I was needing the cam belt kit I also thought to replace the water pump as it was mensioned a few times on forums. So thought I may as well change the oil and filter as I only had new plugs about 8000 miles ago and bought a K&n panel filter shortly after the plugs. So all together I did: cam belt kit, water pump, halfrauds 5/30 gm grade oil, oil filter. my mate is a mechanic and did it all with a total cost of £160 including parts and labour. well pleased as the kit is a genuine GM kit.

bought the water pump for £21 at local motorfactors then bought a timing belt kit from,,,,,EBAY. at a cost of £55. then the oil was £38 and filter was £2. £40 was what I paid for the fitting and his time.
