Default Air Filter for Vectra 1.8

    Hi ,

Forgive me if this has been posted before but I am going to change the air filter in my vectra, I have looked at the how 2 but my airbox seems different.

I have located the torx screws one of which is under the hose but im not too sure how to remove this hose as there are other leads on it. I have atached a picture and any help would be great thanks.

    John

undo the 1st clip, the one after the sensor, on the hose, not the one nearest the airbox.
(the one to the right of the sensor looking at the pic)

just wondering after hearing some horror stories about air filter change, is there anything I should be wary of when changing or is there anything I could potentially damage?

Also when I tried ordering the filter the guy asked me if it was just the element I needed, I am assuming that it is but im not sure.

Any advise would be great thanks

ive changed mine tonight and ive also changed them in my other cars.
Cant see why you would damage anything, unless you brake a clip or something. If anything it will help your car 'breathe' better.

Thanks alot vxr-i-wish, I will try at the weekend.

I have just found another post in the how-2 section and it seems pretty straight forward.

I was just worried that i might knock a sensor or something that would stop the car starting.

I think I worry too much!

Pretty simple job really, just unplug the airflow meter, remove the hose (jubilee clip) undo the screws on the lid & lift off the lid.
Just don't go banging the airflow meter about
