    Default Clutch pedal noise

Hi all getting noise from clutch pedal just about when I return it to start position, there is no vibration or judder it's not a mechanical noise sounds more like a creaking door and all is well with the car running, when im in start stop traffic with passangers i need to have the radio on as it sounds as if were in a creeking bed, bit embarassing Think it might need some lube.

I had this problem on and off for a week and it got VERY VERY annoying. In the end I got in a huffy

It really piddled me off so I put my foot flat on the floor,,,,knocked the traction control off and spun the wheels. Yes I Know.....very childish.

Its never dont it since and that was 3months ago....

My car had this problem and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what it was. In the end I lost my temper

I turned the traction control off put my foot on the floor and said bye to the clutch pedal.....Yess very childish indeed

It sorted the problem out though. Sinse I done that never heard it again.

Obviously I wouldnt recommend doing this, but, hmmmm. Weird one. And im sure if you took it to vauxhalls they would want to strip the clutch to bits. This is what i was worried about.

Im not sure how turning the TC off and driving like a loon is going to stop a squeaky clutch

First of all, is the noise inside or outside?

think its a common vauxhall clutch pedal squeak!! Ive had it on all my vauxhalls. You can give it a spray with wd40, will go away for a while, but will return.

    That's because WD40 isn't a lubricant, it's more of a solvent (50%+).
Anyone who's ever used it on a bicycle chain will atest to that, because it removes grease (which is factory fitted inside the chain rollers) and you get the classic squeaky chain.

Don't get me wrong though, it's ****** brilliant for displacing water and breaking down rust. As well as being one of the few recommended carb cleaners on the market.

Get something thicker, something that sticks and you'll be fine. Spot of grease wouldn't hurt. In fact, you could probably use a spot of engine oil and do a better job than WD

had a look at the clutch pedal, it has a spring on it, assuming that is where the creaking is coming from as it only has a tiny bit of grease on the top of it and the rest of it looks dry, i have a product called carlube lm2 multi purpose grease lithium based will this be ok .
