59 Plate Police Estate

Spotted the above Vectra Estate yesterday at the top of the A33 at junction with M4 at Reading. Not many of them about.

Did a 150 mile round trip to London from Oxford yesterday - saw 5 Police Vectras, mostly estates..

Are you saying it was a plain Q car or in plod battenburg colours?

Standard issue with Thames Valley which would be why you saw it at Reading. Two 59 plates in battenburg on top of J5 M40 just an hour ago.

cant be many 59 plate surely, they must have a few new cars waiting to be registered.

We've got rid of all our vectras. All the old gsi's have gone except an old 54 plate and we've got a 56 plate special left which is probably near the end of its life.

We've got 3-series diesel repmobiles now

Shame, i adored the GSi. For its faults, it was still a great car.
