    Default Achillies?

Has anyone ever hurt it done any damage to it? If so what did you do to help it?

Think I've done mine as it hurts like when going up and down the stairs, and those who've been to our house knows there's alot of steps in it. But now it starting to hurt when walking on the flat too, won't get to the doctors til at least Thursday so want to try something before then. Tried looking on the net and it's all about runners, anyone can tell by looking at me I'm not exactly active!!

Suffered from this for over a year. The only cure was stretching exercises and physio. It helps if you can identify how you did the damage in the first place. For me it was walking/running over the desert in the gulf war with poor supporting boots.

Use a good muscle rub and massage it well in than carry out the exercises. The doc should tell you which ones are best. A good one is to stand on the edge of the bottom stair in your house, support yourself and then raise and lower your body on your toes. Only go down a little bit for the few few days and then gradually increase the amount. Eventually this will will stretch and strengthen the tendons. Swimming is also good for recovery. Running is not!

    Hope that helps.

I have no idea how I done it which is getting me, done same job for nine years doing the same kind of stuff. Only thing I can think of is I have to push and pull stuff around which can be 100kg + in weight, but as I've been doing this for year I have no idea why it's gone now.

Got work tomorrow so time will tell as so far today it's not been too bad but being as I've been on my rear end most of it, it should be OK! Twelve hours on my feet tomorrow, should be the test!

There's steps everrywhere in our house! To get into every room apart from our bedroom you got to take atleast one step! So will try what you've said, had it on a bag of frozen cabbage last night.

Managed to get an appointment tomorrow at 19:30 Got to phone up at 08:00 to see if they have any earlier.

This evening I could feel it grinding, like when you rub cotton wool together. Wasn't pleasant, but seems to have dies down a little at the moment. See if I'm saying that at six tomorrow night when I've been up and on my feet from half four in the morning!
