    Default very little air coming out of vents

    please can anyone tell me how do i get to the heater box behind the dash on my 53 vectra .? because vauxhall said it would be about £1300 to sort it out . the motor works fine but there is very little air coming out the window vent even on full please help

    Have you tried pushing the button with the snowflake on it as this sets all the flaps and directs all the air up to the windscreen. As you push it you can hear the flap motor altering the flaps from the previous setting. If this provides you with plenty of air I would check the three motors. Put ignition on but do not start the engine, alter the left rotory control and you should be able to hear the motors operating the flaps. Do the same with the centre one, the right hand one is the fan speed. Hope this helps.

    If you remove the glove box you can see the heater motor. This is what it looks like when the glove box is removed. I don,t know if it is any help to you though.

    Check that the pollen filter isn't completely blocked.

    No it doesn't, that puts the A/C on.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    I am sorry that I seem to have started a row :-( it is in fact the top right hand of the four small buttons on the heater panel, that will teach me to check and not trust my failing memory. Now kiss and make up!!!!!!!

    mine seems to only work on 2-3-4 not 1 when i put it on 1 i cant feel any air,
