Saw a job advert today.

For self employed clampers! All the jobs would be commision based...

No wonder there are so many a holes out there as if it was my wage there is no way in hell i would be not clamping ur car if it was in the wrong!!

2 of our lads got clamped the other month, they refused to unclamp us even knowing we were in the right..... Result was they pee'd off the wrong people and then got served 1months notice that they were being kicked off the contract!

I think I am going to get screamed at here , but I did clamping for a few months in London. Money was exceptional we are talking £300+ every day - this was commision based , but the hassle is unreal. I eventually quit when some one pulled a gun on me in SE London. You wouldnt believe the offers I had to remove clamps though...lol

£10 a day compo... probably not worth getting public transport for a year ha...

I'd rather go the violence route. took hour and half last time, police where called and had to give clamplers car keys and sat nav back... but my car was released for free...

illegal in Scotland :P if anyone but the DVLA clamps your car, you can tell them to get it the **** off your car because the law here states it amounts to extortion and theft bad luck English folks :P

Clampers may well earn lots of money, but as my grandad used to say "Even prostitutes have lots of money, doesn't mean they've managed to earn any respect".
