Default Rear Wiper not working. help

Having just discovered this forum can I ask you experts for some help?

Some time ago my rear windscreen wiper packed up. It started by going a bit juddery when in use then just packed in altogether.

I assume its the motor, the click sound is still there when I try to turn it on using the steering wheel paddle stick but nothing happens.

Is it an easy job to replace? Would anyone have a part number? I've got a Vectra 52 plate. Is it easy to get the trim off to gain access? Is the motor under the trim near the wiper base or somewhere else?

Sorry about all the questions, i've searched the forum and can't find the answers.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it the Stock that sticks or the Wiper itself??

If it is the wiper motor, to replace the boot lid interior trim will need to be removed - its held on with e few torx screws.

I dont know how much a new motor is though.

Think it is about £15 but not entirely sure.

Does it click on and off ok?

I just seen this post. I had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be dirty contacts in the motor itself. You have to remove the motor from the car and once apart you will see that the operation of the motor is controlled by contacts on a disc. On mine, these were dirty. After a clean up and regrease it was all fine again.

Worth a try before buying a new one, and not too difficult to do.

    Hope this helps.

Had this problem with mine too ...there was nothing wrong with motor its the arm that comes through the body or window in my case all you need is to lubricate it and it should work fine
