    Default Battery Light.

    I have recently had a new battery and alternator fitted but the battery light still comes up some time on start up does anyone know why this could be.

    has anyone on here experienced the problem there self.

    as in new alternator i take it you mean re-worked!!( i would not fit a re-work from the faulty batch numbas) i had 3 and all failed.

    You also need to be sure th alternator and battery that have been fitted are the correct Ah for your car.

    My battery light started to come on within a week of me getting the car, so made sure the contacts to the alternator were clean, then pulled out and reseated all the fuses and relays in the fuse box next to the battery, had no more problems in nearly 2 years now.
