Default Has it caught you out?

After the recent thread about widows closing themselves when it rains, has anyone else been confused/bemused/caught out bay the various automated tricks that the Veccys and Siggys can do?
I was recently slightly scared when I opened my car with the spare key which had "remembered" my Wife's seat postion, which threw me into confusion.
I also managed to lock a couple of pensioners in the car after it re-locked itself.

    Any other unexpected exitement?

    Phil

Most people get a surprise when the rear wiper starts when they select reverse if the front wipers are on.

I also hate the boot locking itself. More of an annoyance rather than a surprise.

I have the door set to lock when I drive off. When I give people lifts they always yankin at the handle.

As for the boot. drive me up the wall! I open it to get a cloth out...I polish the boot and then go to put it back LOCKED ARH.

Yep same with me. I wouldn't mind but they are sat in the car when the doors lock and ask how it happens etc and then are surprised when they can't get out at the end of a 15min journey

It only does it with the memory seats. Basically it remembers the position when that particular key locked it. i.e. you have key A and B. You lock the car with A and then your wife (or whoever) opens with key B - the seats will go to the position they were in when they car was last locked with key B.She locks the car and then you come along with key A. The seats will go to the position they were in when they car was last locked with key A.

Having now bought a flippy key, I now have three keys. Haven't tested it to see if it will remember three positions! lol

    Hope that makes sense!?

It just remembers the last seat position when the door was locked with that key (if the seat has moved).
So, my missus locks the car with her key, with the seat in her favourite position. I open the car with my key, and it shifts to my saved position. I lock it with my key. She opens it with her key, and Hey presto! it moves back.

Hours of fun for the family.....

Finding the features has been good although my old Focus had the same, programmable cental locking, auto door lock feature, rear wiper in reverse.

The only thing it didn't have was total open/closure, a real bonus in this weather
