    Default Altering an Irmy Grille.

Found this in a thread while searching for something else and fell in lurve….

Thinking of painting the Black Irmscher writing on my grille. What paint can I use? Thinking of buying a Vx touch up kit.

Also I find the Black Irmscher writing on my grille a pain in the **** when I’m cleaning the car as the recesses collect dirt, wax and polish and is a pain to clean out. So I got to thinking what if I filled the writing in and painted it.

    Good idea bad idea?

What do I fill it with that won’t ruin the look?

just make sure you've got some proper glue to stick the brushed stainless panel back on!!

relying on chewing gum is not advisable - ask John!

Mine was removed, colour coded the black plastic bit red and resprayed the whole grill Star Silver.

Just pops off. Needs supergluing back on though, not chewing gum though!

I did have a go at PVS

Fill it with Fibreglass putty. Dry, smooth over with sandpaper and spray. Won't be able to tell.
