Radio Problems

Hi i have a vectra with the Navi 70 system when i bought the car last week the radio was fine since then i have been playing cd's now today went to use radio and all i keep getting is mainly static and some bad signal. Tried everything and still not getting much what could be wrong with it?

Is it a bad ariel connection?.

Have you still got your arial attached? Someone might have pinched it and thats why you cant ge a good signal?

If it had somehow 'lost' the code, you'd be listening to nothing at all and looking at a display such as 'Code 1 _ _ _ _ '

More chance of a fault with the aerial cbale - fallen out, corroded, etc... or the signal amplifier. My first guess would be moisture ingress at the aerial base causing corrosion/failure.

Yeah thats what i thought i just wondered if rebooting the thing could help, i will take it in to vauxhalls and get them look at it. cheers anyways

I imagine it would be something you could look into yourself without having to go to vauxhall, would save you a few bob
